OUR FOUNDER
Meet Kat
Less than 2 years ago, my body was covered in eczema. While I had struggled with eczema periodically as a child, it wasn't until adulthood that it became out of control—especially after the birth of my twin girls, Rey and Kaia.
I was prescribed multiple rounds of topical and oral steroids, but experienced TSW (topical steroid withdrawal) twice, which left my skin flaking, bleeding and, quite literally, oozing, for months.
To stop my reliance on steroids, I spent a fortune on skin and body products, most of which ended up in the garbage. As a beauty consumer, I was stumped as to why prestige and luxury brands had ignored those of us with ultra-sensitive, flare-prone skin.
So I set out to create RAIA, a chance for the eczema girl to experience luxury and premium beauty products without the fear that they will do more harm than good. We all deserve to be pampered, no matter our skin type. :)
